Your data is far too important to risk not having a proper backup solution in place. We include secure, twice daily off-site backups with a two-week retention time standard across all of our hosting services. We utilize Idera’s R1Soft continuous data protection software to ensure 100% complete block-level backups with the lowest impact to your server’s performance. Our proprietary monitoring software then verifies your backups to ensure nothing is ever missing. By using a remote, block-level backup system, we can restore your data anywhere - even in the event of a disaster that affects any of our data centers. Need more? A full list of server software supported can be found in our SLA, but basically we completely support your hardware, network, operating system, and level 2 applications, such as the web server (Apache, Nginx, Litespeed), database server (MySQL, Percona, MariaDB), and code libraries (PHP, Python). If you need help with non-critical issues or issues that our server engineers can’t solve on their own, we do have a full high-end design and custom PHP development team available at your disposal to help you out - just contact us for a quote.
Yes, our management plans are designed to be shared across your entire environment with us. Each server must be enrolled in your management plan (which is why the plans are priced per server). Because we don’t have any contracts or minimums (aka you are free to cancel any time), unused time does not roll over and is not refundable.
EndLayer does not provide root/superuser access to managed servers, as this allows us to ensure we are in total control and can provide all our services effectively. We do provide standard user system level access (non administrative/root) upon request. That being said, all of your data does belong to you and we claim no ownership of any client data or prevent you access to your data in any way - we simply reserve administrative access to the server to our team only.
It is important to choose the right package for your needs (we’ll help you if you can’t decide). If you do end up going over, hourly rates for support / management of your server apply. Don’t worry, though - we’re your partner not a cutthroat corporation and we aren’t out to get you. We will notify you if we think you’ll go over your limit and give you options from there. More often than not, going over your time a little bit will be overlooked as long as it’s not a common occurrence.
All EndLayer managed services are monthly. There are no contracts and you can cancel anytime, but there are no refunds on partial month’s worth of service. If you do cancel, we do require that you give us a heads up a minimum of 2 days (48 hours) before your next cycle starts. Note that if you cancel your management, your server cancels along with it as EndLayer does not provide unmanaged services.
